From download to your first project.
The website manages your account, subscription and download. The Windows app contains the drawing workspace, archive and assistant. This guide covers the distributed app and the commercial portal.
1. Register, download and launch
- Open your customer account, enter an email and password, and register. Your password must have at least 12 characters, one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter and one digit.
- Check your confirmation email. You can download after registration; email confirmation is required before a purchase.
- Click Download Electrion for Windows. You need 64-bit Windows, Microsoft Edge WebView2 and an internet connection for AI and licences.
- Extract the entire ZIP to a stable folder and open
Electrion.exe. Do not run the app inside the ZIP. Keep the distributed files together, including the portal configuration.
Free needs no card: 1 device, 2 projects and 20 sheets per project. Professional, Studio and Team include 1, 3 and 10 devices respectively, with unlimited projects and sheets. AI usage is separate.
2. Connect the app to your plan
- Sign in on the website and click Generate a code to connect Electrion.
- In the app, open Piano e pagamenti (Plan and payments) and paste the code. It is valid for 5 minutes and one connection; treat it as a temporary credential.
- Check your plan and device in your customer account. You can revoke a device before connecting another one.
The signed licence is refreshed online and lasts at most 24 hours. If payment is invalid or the licence expires, Free limits apply; existing projects remain readable and exportable. Additional PCs share the plan, not a cloud archive.
3. Understand the three accounts

Sign out (Sign out) ends the local session; it does not change the AI connection. If a session expires while editing, sign in again and repeat the save. Projects stay in the shared archive on that workstation.
4. Connect the assistant
Open Collegamento AI (AI connection). For ChatGPT, click Collega ChatGPT (Connect ChatGPT) and complete sign-in in the browser. For your own compatible Responses API, enter the endpoint, model and the name of the environment variable holding your key. Do not paste the key into the variable-name field or chat. Restart the service if you change its environment.
The Windows engine and AI archive are dedicated to Electrion. Connection changes apply to new conversations; existing ones retain their profile. You can use the workspace without AI, but assistant replies require a valid connection. Necessary context is sent to your selected provider: review documents before sharing them.
5. Think first, then draw
- Click Nuova commessa (New project) and enter a name and customer.
- Record requirements and sources, importing original documents through chat or Fonti (Sources).
- Discuss what is needed: supplies, components, protection, documented pins, nets and the sheet plan. Highlight missing data and assumptions.
- Request drawings once the model is sufficiently defined. You can discuss requirements without starting a drawing immediately.
Esplora un esempio (Explore an example) creates a separate project. The 1.5 kW motor and synthetic sample illustrate the method; neither is an approved construction project.
6. Model, pins and revisions
A device is a physical component. Its symbols can appear on several sheets, but the bill of materials counts it once. Pins must come from documentation; wires and nets represent explicit connections. PE, N, 0 V and shield are separate identities.
Use forms or Model (Model) to edit the full JSON, field sources, coordinates and pin anchors. SVG sheets are generated views: change the model and regenerate. Every save creates a revision; technical changes invalidate previous checks while preserving their history. If another window or the assistant saves meanwhile, reload and reconcile the changes before saving.
7. Drawing and assistant in one view
The assistant sits beside the workspace. When you request a change, the visible sheet and revision are included in your message; switching to another view removes that reference. Saved revisions refresh the drawing while retaining sheet selection and zoom. Local edits or open forms defer updates until you save or close them.
Drag the divider or use arrow keys after selecting it. Hiding chat preserves your draft message. Amplia banco (Expand workspace) hides the project list; Chat completa (Full chat) opens additional conversations and tools. On narrow windows, chat appears below the drawing.
8. Symbols and readability
Use existing symbols whenever suitable, including QElectroTech imports with attribution and provenance. Only if no usable symbol can be found may the agent draw one, recording searches, rejected alternatives and sources. A photograph does not establish the pinout.
Border letters and numbers belong inside closed marginal cells. Generic NO/NC contacts use an inclined blade, not two ladder bars. Do not deform imported geometry or change pins and connections to hide graphic problems.
Inspect every new or changed sheet: symbols, wires, tags, pins, cross-references, notes and title blocks must not overlap accidentally or be clipped. Correct, save, inspect again and export that same revision. Symbol bounding-box checks alone do not establish full readability.
9. Read check results

The catalog contains 36 checks, not all automatic. Final sizing, machine safety, thermal assessment, manual review, complete visual inspection and physical tests require further work. An exported draft remains a draft with its limitations. Automatic checks, technical approval and physical commissioning are separate states.
10. Export the same revision
Esporta pacchetto (Export package) creates a ZIP with editable JSON, A3 SVG sheets, CSV registers and a check report, all coordinated on one revision and recorded as project artifacts. Stampa / PDF (Print / PDF) opens the drawings: select A3 landscape, zero margins and Save as PDF. Check text and title blocks before delivery. This does not create a native EPLAN, SPAC or AutoCAD Electrical project.
11. Payments and archives
Your customer account manages plan, card, billing details, invoices and renewal. The Stripe portal shows prorations before confirmation. Cancellation stops renewal at the end of the paid period; incomplete payment does not activate a new plan. A refund request is separate from renewal cancellation.
The project script uses .local; the portable distribution uses its own dati folder unless configured otherwise. Back up the entire archive while the service is stopped. The portal does not synchronise projects. PLC programming and physical plant commands are outside Electrion’s tool catalog.
12. Troubleshooting
- Email missing: check spam and the address, then resend confirmation. Use Forgot password for the website; the local PC account is separate.
- Expired code: generate another code, use it within 5 minutes and check occupied device slots.
- No assistant reply: check the AI connection, endpoint, model, provider availability and usage allowance.
- Model changed: reload the revision and reconcile changes before saving.
- Incomplete drawing or data: retain open issues and limitations; do not declare it ready for construction.
